What is a great-great-aunt?

A great-great-aunt is the sister of one of your great-grandparents. She is a child of your great-great-grandparents, three generations above you. Each generation back adds another 'great': your grandparent's sister is your great-aunt, and your great-grandparent's sister is your great-great-aunt. Her children are each your first cousin twice removed.
